Air Foce Turntable

TechDAS Air Force IV Arrival by Rom Beyerle

TechDAS Air Force IV — Now Available for Audition

Japanese audio equipment is renowned for meticulous quality and they continue to all but dominate the market in all things analogue with their Phono Cartridges, Tonearms, Turntables and electronics easily some of the finest on the planet. TechDAS is the offspring of the late Micro Seiki brand and continues in the pursuit of absolute analogue perfection, integrating tried and trusted air bearing and vacuum hold-down technologies to every model in the range—dual technologies that hardly any other manufacturer dare to try.

The Air Force IV is a natural addition to the TechDAS lineup. Its one-piece platter, made from solid aluminium alloy, floats on a cushion of air, and the record is held in place by vacuum. The motor is separated in its own chassis. It offers wow and flutter below 0.03%, a compact design, and space for up to three tonearms.

The reduction in microscopic vibration and noise from these technologies must be heard to be believed.

Built to jewel-like, heirloom quality, these turntables set the benchmark not only for sound but for the advancement of analogue reproduction the world over. As quite the tip of the hat to this achievement, the Air Force IV currently graces the cover of both Stereo Sound and ANALOG—Japan's most preeminent audio magazines—simultaneously.
